“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I
with them”…Matthew 18:20.
Friday afternoons are
usually a favorite time for me! The workweek
is wrapping up and I’m heading into the weekend, so who doesn’t love Friday
afternoons!
However, last Friday
afternoon, I received a call from my youngest son! He and his beautiful wife are expecting their
first child! Tori is approximately 24
weeks along and things had been going well with all of her appointments!
When I answered the phone, I
quickly realized that my son didn’t sound quite himself. He wanted to know if I would be available to
go to the doctor with Tori the following week if he wasn’t available.
Of course, I was
available. However, I quickly learned
that Tori’s primary doctor wanted her to see a fetal specialist. It appeared that her ultrasound that day had
revealed that the baby might have additional fluid around the brain.
Hearing those words sent my
mind spinning! What did that mean? How serious was this…and all I could think of
was my son and his young wife as they digested this news about their precious
baby!
As I hung up the phone with my
son, tears rolled down my cheeks as I tried to grasp this new piece of
information about our future grandson.
Knowing very little about
this possible diagnosis sent me to the Internet to see what I could learn! Of course, there was a lot of information
that only lead to more questions.
I quickly realized I did not
need to turn to the Internet for answers; I needed to turn to my Heavenly
Father who was already aware of this situation.
I needed to pray!
Leaving work early, I headed
to Jay and Tori’s house to check on them, but more importantly, to pray for and
with them!
Tears flowed freely that
afternoon, but as we gathered together to pray for Baby Wyatt Maxwell, I knew
the Lord was with us.
His word states, “For where two or three gather in my name,
there am I with them”…Matthew 18:20.
The prayers didn’t stop
there! I had already called my husband
to ask him to join us in prayer. I let
Jay’s siblings and my mom know so that they could also be praying too!
And then I reached out to a
group of ladies (better known as the Mag 8)…my dear sisters in Christ and asked
them to pray!
They have watched all three
of my children grow up and love them very much, just as I love their precious
children too!
Their responses were
immediate, sharing their hearts, their prayers and their love for this unborn
child!
I literally felt’s God’s
presence…His comfort…His arms around us in the days ahead as these precious
saints would send me encouraging words the next several days.
Jay and Tori also shared
this information with their closest friends and family members who also joined
us in prayer! The prayer chain grew as
each of us lifted up our prayers like incense before the Lord!
After one long week, Jay and
Tori finally met with the specialist. Thankfully,
Jay’s schedule permitted for him to join Tori at that appointment.
Again, our prayer
family/friends joined together to pray as Jay and Tori headed to their
appointment.
A few hours after their
scheduled appointment time, I received the following message from Tori:
“All of our prayers and your prayers worked…he is
perfect! God heard us all. His measurements dropped to 8.8 mm from 12mm
which now perfectly normal!!! The doctor
said she has no explanation as to the drop in measurements – it was God working
miracles on our little boy”!!
God heard our prayers and
touched Baby Wyatt!! And each of us is
truly giving Him all the glory!
God’s word states…Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today
and forever…Hebrews 13:8.
Jesus is still performing
miracles today! Jesus heard our prayers
and touched Baby Wyatt!
Dear Ones…if you have a
need…turn to Jesus! He hears the cries
of your heart! He cares and loves you
deeply!!
Dear Heavenly Father…thank you for hearing our
prayers and answering those prayers with a healing touch on Baby Wyatt! We praise your Holy, Holy Name! Lord, help us to turn to you with all of
prayer requests, believing that you hear our prayers and will answer those
prayers according to your will! Oh, how
we love you!!
