He is Here!

It was hard to leave for work one morning last week!

Why?

Because I felt my time would have been better spent on my knees in my prayer closet that day!

I didn’t feel as though I had prayed sufficiently for all of the things that were on my heart that morning…

Little twins of dear friends that were recently born and need our continued prayers…

Our own little Gabe…as he headed to an appointment with a pediatric dentist that morning concerning his struggle to begin talking…

And after completing a sermon series on the prodigal son…I thought of all of the prodigals that have walked away from the Lord…

My heart aches as I think of them turning away from the truth and believing the lies of the enemy!

I thought of the mamas and dads…the grandparents…siblings who are praying for the prodigals in their lives to return home…to turn back to their Heavenly Father…

And then there is our nation and the turmoil we are facing in so many areas…

The Presidential election…and all that entails!

Continued violence throughout our nation!

It is overwhelming!!

And I thought…how our Heavenly Father must grieve as HE looks down upon his children!

He sees the brokenness in our lives…

He sees our hurts…

He sees our sins…

He sees how far we have walked away from him…

And he too sees the prodigals…those who once called Him Lord and Savior…who have now turned their back on Him…

He sees how they have listened to the lies of the enemy…

How they no longer listen for their Father’s voice…

He sees…He knows…and I have to believe His heart is breaking along with mine!

I was pondering all of this as I got in my car and headed to work!

As I was driving east…I saw the bright sun shining in the sky!

And I thought…every morning the sun rises…and every evening the sun sets!

I never have to wonder if the sun will rise each morning or set each evening!

And as I continue to gaze upon the brilliant ball of fire lighting up the sky, I realized…

I never have to wonder if my Lord will be there to greet me in the morning…

I never have to wonder if HE hears my prayers throughout the day…

I never have to wait to speak to Him…He is available 24/7…

I never have to wonder if HE will be there to tuck me in at night!

He is faithful!

His word states…”The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”…Deuteronomy 31:8.

Our Lord and Savior…is the only ONE that will always…always be there for us!

When life seems overwhelming…HE is the one that we can turn to!

He is there waiting for us…with open arms…eagerly waiting to spend time with us!

And even when I feel as though I haven’t spent enough time with my Lord in the morning…I can call upon his name throughout the day…and He hears my voice…my prayers…and HE listens!

Dear ones…our Heavenly Father loves us more than we can imagine!

And He longs to spend time with us!

Whether you are praying in your prayer closet…or praying on the hoof…God hears the cries of our hearts!

His word reminds us…” Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”…1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Dear Heavenly Father…help us…help me…to spend time with you daily!  And Lord, on the days when our schedules are jam packed with activities…remind us that you hear the prayers that are prayed on the hoof…encourage us to pray continually throughout the day!
