She is Clothed with Strength and Dignity

I am thoroughly enjoying this season of life!

My husband and I have been blessed greatly and we have so much to be thankful for!

Our blessings include grown children…married to Godly spouses and following the Lord with all their hearts!

Our blessings also include several grandchildren!

In this last six years, we have been blessed with seven grandsons and love each of them so much!

And this past summer…God blessed us with our first granddaughter!

Caroline Marie!

She is absolutely precious!

Her three older brothers adore her!

And her little boy cousins think she is pretty special too!

As soon as I heard we were being blessed with a little granddaughter…I began looking at baby girl items!

It has been fun shopping for little girly things for Sweet Caroline J

As I walked through the stores or shopped on line…everything pink and filly caught my eye!

But that isn’t the only thing that caught my attention!

My son and daughter have always shared a scripture when their children were born!

And the scripture they used for little Caroline was…

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come”…Proverbs 31:25.

Just as much as I love the idea of purchasing little pink, frilly outfits for this little darling…I love even more what Jesus is clothing her with…strength and dignity!

His hand is upon her!

As I thought about this verse, I looked up different translations, which included…

“Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future (knowing that she and her family are prepared” (AMP Translation)!

I love this!

I love that not only will Caroline be clothed in strength and dignity, but she can smile at the future…knowing that not only her position is strong and secure, but that she and her family are prepared!

Her parents will share Jesus with her…take her to church…making sure she knows the wonderful things God has done in their lives and will continue to do her in life!

Another translation included…

“Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future (the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it!”  (AMPC Translation).

Not only can Caroline smile at the future…she can rejoice over the future!

My prayer is that Caroline will know Jesus!  That she will accept Him into her heart as Lord and Savior and follow Him all the days of her life!

And though she will walk through trials and tribulations…she can rejoice…knowing that our Heavenly Father is walking hand-in-hand with her and that HE will never leave or forsake her!

God has a wonderful plan for this sweet baby’s life!

His word says…”For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”…Jeremiah 29:11.

God tells us that he has a wonderful plan for Caroline (for each of us)!  And HIS plans including giving Caroline (and each of us) a hope and a future!

I love that!

As I continued to look at different translations of this scripture, a few more touched my heart:

“She is strong and is respected by the people.  She looks forward to the future with joy”…(ICB Version).

“She dresses with strength and nobility, and she smiles at the future”…(GW Translation)

The thought of Caroline being strong and respected by those around her…that she will be dressed with strength and nobility blesses my heart!

And I know the greatest gift I can give her…can give all of my grandchildren…is to pray for them!

The thought of all of my children…grandchildren…being prepared for the future…for eternity…encourages me to press in and pray for them daily!

So, as I continue to ponder this scripture…I too smile at the future…trusting and believing that Caroline and her family will be prepared for the future!

Dear Heavenly Father…thank you for the gift of life!  Thank you that we can look at the future with hope…with a smile…with joy…because of your promise that those who know you as Lord and Savior…will spend eternity with you!
