Why
haven’t I written this summer?
I think
it is because I have been busy making memories!
Or
maybe…I just wasn’t feeling it…I’m not sure!
But as
summer comes to an end…I can’t help be sharing a few highlights from the
summer!
We have
celebrated birthdays!
Graham
and Emmett’s!
Wyatt’s!
Gabe’s!
Rachel’s
and my mom’s!
We were
blessed with our first granddaughter!
Miss
Caroline Marie! She has already stolen
the hearts of her family and her little brothers adore her!
We
welcomed a new puppy into our home!
Josie!
She is
keeping us busy as we potty train her and just take care of a puppy again!
But we
love her…and will probably spoil her rotten!
We have
finished a few major projects around the house!
Trimmed
trees!
Wall-papered
a bathroom!
Painted another
bathroom!
Completed
several landscaping projects!
Attended
baseball games!
Supported
Zach at the Crohn’s Walk!
Spent
days filled with lots of swimming!
Which
including…diving…jumps and being tossed into the air!
Climbed
trees!
Chased
butterflies!
Swung
high!
Went miniature golfing!
Sleepovers!
Cookouts!
Filled
our tummies with yummy s’mores!
As well
as, lots of ice cream and frozen treats!
A little
football!
And so
much more!
My heart
is overflowing with love as I look back upon our summer!
I soaked
in the smiling faces that shined as we gathered together!
God’s
word tells us…” Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart”…Psalm 37:4
One of my
greatest desires is just to spend time with my family!
We don’t
have to do anything fancy…I’m content just to be surrounded by our growing
family!
They
bring me such joy!
And to
see them interacting…smiling…laughing…does my heart good!
Maybe I
didn’t write this summer…because I just wanted to soak it all in!
Live in
the moments…
Enjoy all
that God has blessed me with!
And thank
Him…and praise Him…
For all
that HE is doing in my life and the lives of my family!
So, as
summer comes to an end…I look forward…expectantly to the memories that will be
made this fall!
I hope
and pray that your summer was filled with fond memories too!
Dear Heavenly Father…thank you for family and
friends…for times to gather around the table and celebrate life! Thank you for the memories that were made
this past summer…and for the memories that will be made in the days ahead!
