And we pray that we may be delivered from wicked and
evil men, for not everyone has faith.
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from
the evil one…II Thessalonians 3:2-3.
Tonight I viewed the last
video of the Beth Moore Bible study that I have been doing…It was called Children of the Day. It has been an amazing time of learning
and studying I and II Thessalonians.
I am not sure who was sadder
to see the study come to an end…Beth Moore or the ladies who have been
faithfully attending each week.
However, tonight’s video
spoke straight to my heart!
The last few days, I have
been pondering and praying about a situation that my older son and
daughter-in-law are walking through.
I think each of us have experienced numerous emotions about this
situation…ranging from anger and confusion…to sadness and a sense of loss.
Though we continue to put
our hope and trust in the Lord…sometimes you just want to ask “Why”? Why didn’t this situation end like we
thought it would?
However, Beth Moore shared
something in the video tonight that really spoke to this situation…and to
me.
She said, “Unbelievers are
not going to act like Believers”.
Those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will not act
like those who do know Him as Lord and Savior.
I realized the situation my
children are walking through include individuals who are not Believers! So of course, their actions are
different than the actions of those who put their hope and faith in Jesus Christ…their
Lord and Savior.
They have not placed their
hope and trust in the ONE who loves them more than they could ever imagine.
Beth than shared these ten
words…”For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful”
Beth encouraged us to
memorize these ten words. She shared
that these ten words can help us instantly turn from looking at our situation
negatively to looking at our situation positively.
Though we will meet
individuals who have no faith…Our Lord is faithful.
We will continue to
encounter Unbelievers…But the Lord is faithful.
Our paths will cross men and
women who are wicked and evil…But our Lord is faithful!
The study didn’t change the
situation that I am watching my children walk through…but it did change how I
looked at the situation.
Regardless of what we will
encounter while we are here on earth…we need to remember…the Lord is faithful!
Dear Heavenly Father…thank you for your
faithfulness. Thank you that when
we encounter evil men and women…You are with us. You will strengthen and protect us from the evil one. Lord, I pray that in the days and weeks
ahead…I will remember these ten words…”For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful”!
