Climbing up...
Watching trains…
Making music…
Spinning wheels...
Making bubbles…
Peering through a giant telescope…
Playing in the sand…
Coloring a fish…then watching your fish swim in the aquarium
Reading…
Sliding…
Often head first…
Tossing balls…
Swimming ducks…
Shopping…
Fishing…
Making pizzas…
Serving pizzas…
Electrifying hair…
Young cousins chatting…
Cousins having fun…
How did this all happen in one day?
Our family headed to the Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum for a
Family Fun Day and we experienced all of those things!
Watching those little ones run and explore the museum was so much fun!
But there were moments…
When the little ones would look around them and upon the various sites
with wonder…
With complete awe…
And their expressions were worth a 1,000 words!
And I thought…that is I how I feel sometimes when I look at the world
around me!
When I look at God’s creation!
When I see what He has done…is currently doing!!
It’s spectacular!
It’s amazing!
And the beauty around me never ceases to amaze me!
It could be a stunning sunset!
Or a glorious sunrise!
Tiny hands and feet that were created by the Master’s hand!
Morning dew…sparkling as the sun hits those tender drops of water!
The delicate petals of a flower!
Snowflakes…each one unique!
The miraculous birth of a baby!
An aging couple…that has stood the test of time!
The list is endless!
And I am reminded of this scripture…
“The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning
dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy”…Psalm 65:8.
So today…I will look around me as my grandchildren do…with wonder…with
awe…and I will praise His, Holy, Holy name!
Though the world around me is often frightening…
Filled with disturbing events that take place around the world each day…
I still know…
I still believe…
That God is in control…and He is faithful!
So today…and each and every day…I want to admire the beauty that is
still in this world…that is all around me…and praise my Heavenly Father for His
amazing creation!
Won’t join me?
Dear Heavenly Father…I do stand
in awe of your magnificent creation that is all around me! Help me to take time to admire the beauty
that is before me…to appreciate it…and to thank you for creating it! I adore you, God! I love you so much!
